Metal O - rings are engineered to offer a sealing solution for high - pressure and high - temperature applications where minimal spring back is needed. The metal O - ring is fabricated from high - strength metal tubing. This tubing is coiled, cut, and then welded to the appropriate size. It comes in standard cross - section increments of 1/32”. The seating load of the metal O - ring can be adapted to the specific application by changing the cross - section and the thickness of the tubing wall.

Advantages
High-temperature capability
Ability to withstand low temperatures
Present vacuum
Ability to withstand extreme applications (radioactive, corrosive)
Reusable in many cases
Present a long-term seal – no material disintegration
Long storage life
Self-energizing forcesOptimized spring back, load and outer sealing layered hardness
Chemical compatibility
The Standard Type
The Standard Type of metal O-rings, made from various metallic tubings or solid wire, is an economical choice for applications with low to moderate pressure or vacuum ratios
